Bohemian Salon is an independent hair salon located in the heart of Stockport’s historic Underbank, we transformed a once-derelict 1800s building into a beautifully designed space filled with character, warmth, and purpose.

We opened in 2010, relocated to the town centre in 2023, and have since become part of the exciting evolution of our local area. Though our salon is small in size, it’s big on personality.

For us, true quality is about care, from sustainability to complimentary consultations. We believe in clear communication, warm connection, and creating an experience that feels personal and unhurried.

Our Team

At the heart of Bohemian Salon is a closely-knit, powerhouse team built on a genuine love for the craft and a commitment to continuous growth. We have carefully structured our crew across every level of industry expertise. Our journey begins with our passionate Apprentices, working alongside our super-talented Trained Stylists who bring a sharp, modern eye to contemporary trends. For advanced precision, our Senior Stylists offer a wealth of tailored experience, along with our trend-setting Style Director and hands-on Owner, whose leadership keeps our unique culture on track.

While everyone brings their own unique energy to the floor, we are all driven by the same simple goal: bringing you effortlessly beautiful, lived-in hair inside a relaxed, beautifully designed environment that feels completely unhurried.

Features & Achievements

Our passion for hair and design has taken us on an incredible journey. The creative drive recently took our beautiful historic home in the Underbanks all the way to the national stage, where we officially won the prestigious Salon Design Award at the HJ International British Hairdressing Business Awards. Transforming this unique, multi-story 1800s building.

It’s this eye for detail and distinct aesthetic that has also caught the attention of global style and lifestyle authorities, earning us coveted features in world-renowned publications like Vogue UK and Condé Nast Traveller. But while we love standard-setting accolades, our heart stays firmly rooted right here in our community.

We channel that same high-fashion energy directly back into our clients through our own exclusive, in-house creative campaigns. Projects like ‘Friends of Bohemian’ are the ultimate expression of who we are, using real clients as models, allowing us to showcase authentic, lived-in hair on real people, proving that world-class style, global accolades, and local heart belong hand-in-hand.
